SHIFT: PEOPLE & CHANGE
supports the human side of change, so plans turn into real habits, stronger performance and better business results.
We work with healthcare leaders who are trying to lead change while still carrying everything else that comes with the job: patient care, pressure on services, team tensions, and the constant sense that it all rests on them. Most know exactly what needs to happen, but getting their people to move with them is where it gets hard. The same conversations keep coming back, resistance never fully settles, and despite all the effort, things do not quite stick day to day. It is draining, especially when you care, when you are trying to do it properly, and when it still feels like the people side keeps slowing things down.
That is where SHIFT comes in. We help leaders make sense of what is really going on underneath the surface, and build the emotional readiness and capacity in their teams to actually carry change forward, so it is not just another push, but something that lands, holds, and lasts.

WE WORK UNDERNEATH WHAT IS VISIBLE IN TEAMS
where mindset, habits and everyday decisions are made
What makes change stall
Organisational change stalls when leaders carry the plan, but the team does not carry the meaning. People may hear the message, but they do not fully understand what it means for their daily work, their role, or their confidence, so old habits stay stronger than new expectations, communication frays under pressure, and leaders feel stuck repeating, explaining, and firefighting.
What makes change last
Organisational change lasts when leaders understand what is happening beneath the surface and help people move with the work. Shift helps healthcare leaders decode the behaviours, emotions, and communication patterns that affect performance, then build the clarity, trust, and everyday habits that help teams take ownership, adapt, and deliver together.
Meet Maya
THE Heart ofShift
Maya began her career as a pharmacist. After years of practice, she went on to run her own pharmacy for over a decade. That’s where the real work started. Not stock, not targets, people. Bringing different personalities together. Having difficult conversations. Trying to align a team around shared goals under constant pressure.
Like many leaders, she realised that what looked like performance problems were usually communication problems, emotional overload or misread behaviour. That moment changed everything and sparked her deep curiosity about how people actually think, feel, and act at work.
Maya’s foundation is scientific.
To bridge science and people, she later completed a Diploma in Human Resource Practice.
This gave her a deep understanding of organisational structures, leadership responsibility, employee relations, and the realities leaders operate within, not just what happen, but what actually does.
To deepen her understanding of people, she completed a Master’s degree in Communication, Behaviour and Credibility Analysis. This equips her to decode how messages are interpreted, how credibility is built or damaged, and why people respond the way they do under pressure, especially in moments of conflict, authority tension, and change.
Her work is further grounded in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training.
This allows Maya to work skilfully with tension, resistance, blame and strong emotions, helping leaders and teams speak honestly without escalating conflict, and listen without shutting down.
Today, as a behavioural analyst and emotional intelligence specialist, Maya helps leaders and teams reconnect and move forward together.
Maya believes organisations don’t struggle because people don’t care. They struggle because behaviour is misunderstood, emotions are ignored, and communication collapses under pressure. Her work focuses on the thinking–emotion–behaviour patterns that quietly shape performance every day. By decoding what’s happening beneath the surface, Maya turns insight into practical actions leaders can actually use.
“I’m passionate about helping teams perform at their best by connecting human behaviour with real business outcomes.
I see what often goes unseen beneath the surface and use that insight to bring leaders and their teams together around change that people can truly sustain.’
